RAIN!!! *sigh* I love it. It is such an awesome little something that falls from the sky. =) It is wet. Sometimes it is warm, other times it is bitingly cold, and even other times it is cool and refreshing. Rain is light and sweet, hard and vicious, or frozen and biting. It is the most varied and beautiful form of precipitation. ^_^
In case you cannot tell, I love the rain. ;) It fills me with joy, awe, giggles, and sometimes annoyance.
I just got home from the most awesome walk I've had in a while. I was with my dog, Ugali, and my sister, Emma. =) It is about 32 degrees, overcast and drizzling. Most people are not particularly overjoyed by that kinda of weather, but I'm not really most people--just ask my friends. =D Anyways. There I was in my new rain coat, my dirty jeans, and flip flops when my hip starts vibrating. O.O "Eeeep!" was my reaction--then I remembered that it was only my phone. "Hullo," I say.
In a creepy voice, "Hellooooo, Mariah." It's Emma, of course.
Hesitantly, because I am creeped out, "Yes, darling? How may I help you?"
"Where are you?"
"Why do you wanna know, Emma?"
"Just cause..." she says, drawing out the cause.
"Ugh. I'm at Algonkian and Christopher."
"Okie dokie! Just remember, Riah, if you see my by some random freak chance it is just a coinky dink. And, um, pleased just let's forget I said "coinky dink"?
"Okay, Emma."
*click*
Shock of all shocks, a few minutes later I see Emma strutting toward me attempting to appear nonchalant. Now with Emma and Ugi at my side we set off.
Look. A puddle. *leaps into it with both feet *
"MARIAH!!! You got my almost clean jeans wet!!!"
Another puddle! *leaps into it with left foot* ANOTHER!!! *leaps into it with right foot*
And thus our walk continued. At one point I mention to Emma this amazing technique I came up with. =D One that involves licking trees. Yes. I did indeed say licking trees. Now, I know that you're about ready to get me some help. Psych evaluation and all that. Heck! My own sister was ready to do so as well. Until I showed her how much fun it could be...
You know those little drips of water that hang and glisten on a little twiggy tree branch? Those perfect spheres of fluid that accumulate on the points of pine needles? Well, those are perfect. Pure. Joy. (Now, I'm sure that everyone could go and tell me all about how pesticides and pollution and all sortsa crap make these water driplets not pure, but I don't want to hear it cause I know all that. I don't care. This is my fancies. So if you have holes to poke in them, begone with ye!!!) Well, it is these lovely little drips that I licked. It was these little drips that I carefully plucked from the trees with my tongue. ^_^ I must say, don't put this down until you try it. =D It is supremely fun. Hehehehe. <3>
